Terms & Conditions

1. “Us”, or “Our”, and the Customer listed in the schedule above will be referred to as “You”. We are entitled to grant you a licence to access and use the Fast Label system and/or the Fastway Fast Label Plug in, subject to your compliance with these terms and conditions pursuant to an agreement we have with Fastway Couriers (South Africa). Such licence will be granted on acceptance of these terms and conditions by you and us. The licence is non- transferable.
2. A Customer User Guide will be provided to you on set-up of access to the Fast Label system
3. You agree to provide the stipulated minimum hardware and software requirements set out in the Customer User Guide to gain access to the Fast Label system including network connectivity. Should either the hardware or the network connectivity require an upgrade to allow access to the Fast Label system we will inform you of the necessary work to be carried out and the cost thereof.
4. You must make available the hardware and software on set-up of Fast Label at your site and continue to provide ongoing internet connectivity. We recommend that you also keep a stock of manual prepaid labels.
5. We will not accept any liability for inability to access the Fast Label system for any reason such as lack of internet connectivity in any location or server or other hardware faults. We will not accept any liability for the loss of any data recorded by You in the Fast Label system.
6. You are responsible for providing replacement hardware such as a thermal printer to allow you to use the Fast Label system at your cost unless otherwise advised by Us. If you have purchased the printer from Us, We will use our best endeavours to provide You with replacement thermal printer where needed by carrying a stock of such thermal printers and offering a swap service while Your thermal printer is repaired.
7. Telephone support will be provided between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays. Should our technical representative need to attend at your site you agree to ensure your own IT staff or an external consultant is present at the time to provide our technical representative with necessary network access. Should this support not be available at time of set-up and a subsequent visit is required by our technical representative, we reserve the right to charge for additional time at the callout fee of R200.00 (excl) per hour including travel time.
8. If site attendance is required by a technical representative due to hardware failure, operator error, relocation of software or additional training requested by you, we reserve the right to charge a callout fee of R200.00 (excl) per hour including travel time.
9. Full payment must be made by you on or prior to provision of access to the Fast Label system. A tax invoice will be provided to you on acceptance of these terms and conditions. This Fee is non-refundable.
10. Any equipment or stationery supplied by us remains our property until payment is received in full. We reserve the right to enter your premises and retake possession of the equipment or stationery until payment is received in full.
11. We reserve the right to automatically suspend your use of the Fast Label system should your account for supply of goods or services become overdue outside any agreed trading terms.
12. The prices set out in the schedule above are valid for period 30 days from date of issue and can be accepted by executing this document below.
13. The price of ongoing supplies and ongoing support is subject to change without notice.
14. Only stationery meeting Fast Label specification can be used with the Fast Label system and any use of stationery which does not meet Fast Label specifications will forfeit your licence to use Fast Label.
15. If there is no payment made by the Customer for the full price of the printer, ownership of the printer shall remain vested in Us and shall not pass to the Customer.
16. We reserve the right to: (i) terminate this agreement by providing three months’ notice, without cause; and (ii) update the functionality and performance of the Fast Label software from time to time.
17. We acknowledge that the information recorded by you in the Fast Label system constitutes personal information pertaining to You and your customers. This information will be used only to provide our products and services to You and your customers and to conduct our business. It will not be provided to third parties.

Prepaid Labels and Satchels: Fastway Couriers operates entirely on prepaid labels and satchels. Prepaid labels and satchels are not refundable, or transferable. Minimum purchase and usage requirements are per location. Cubic Conversion: The volumetric factor is 5000cc Country Areas: Some outer and residential areas are serviced once daily and some country areas may be depot serviced only. Restricted goods for carriage: The Consignor must comply with all hazardous substance and transport regulations, in respect of items offered for carriage. Limited Liability:Fastway Courier’s liability is limited to R1000.00 per parcel, i.e per bar-coded label. Exclusions are set out in clause 11.3 of the Conditions of Carriage. Prices: Subject to change without notice.
